Tiny Desert Yellow Daisy

On the hillsides the large arrowleaf balsamleaf sunflowers bloom through June, but the shrub-steppefloor on which we walk between big sagebrush, antelope bitterbrush, and rabbitbrush is often just barren dirt and rock.

What could possibly grow there?

All summer long, we are blessed with the lovely, but tiny desert yellow daisy, Erigeron linearis.

Nature provides us with beauty everywhere.

Small Clump, Tiny Flowers

desert soil
rock and dirt
grey brown
drought dry
what could grow?

small clump
green stems
narrow leaves
white hairs
is it a flower?

twenty plus
yellow petals
bright rays
half inch across
desert yellow daisy!
