Cat Royalty
Royal stance
with collar worn
as if it’s a crown
of blue sapphires,
wears her stripes
like black diamonds,
golden green eyes
cast “watch out” glare,
her flat, puffed cheeks
with mouth
in a snooty “pfffummfff,
strut so arrogant,
she ducks her ears
rather than her head
all the while
nonchalantly
investigating
the old dog house.
