Afternoon Dance
Afternoon Dance
When afternoon sunlight
lingers through the fledgling woods,
sparkles on the rushing waters,
reminds hikers to return home,
she tiptoes along the path
to dance with the spirits
of sun’s last rays,
river’s whispers,
and her shadow’s grace
until the moonlight
calls the fairies
to dance her home.
