They Stand

They Stand

They stand, 

grand 

giants, serene, 

between 

sky and earth, 

birth 

of shade and wind, 

pinned 

in one place, 

grace  

ever reaching, 

teaching 

patience in adversity, 

accordingly, 

as they stand.
