#napowrimo14 Wood Could and It Did

I think thanks that wood could

push out branches of fruit for our food;

spread out a fresh canopy of shade in summer;

comfort us from its flame in our fire place;

and today this wood would 

soak in warm spring sun while spread out in my path, 

inviting my weary bones to rest upon its bench.
