Winter Sunset on the Shrub-Steppe

Winter Sunset

In winter’s scene at sunset’s call,

Muted hues of brown and blue

sky of silvers, tinged pink we view

a puffed out blanket draping all:

sagebrush, bitterbrush, bunch grass

with dried, dormant wildflowers

all subtly dressed in winter’s colors.
