Leaning In and Leaning On

Leaning In and Leaning On

It can push back, the wind-

It whirls around and slaps

your hair into your eye;

You know that feeling—

that push while walking 

so you must lean in.

It pushes on, the wind-

turning turbines to power

to ease our lives- to see,

to warm, to cool, to cook

that push of captured power

that we must lean on.
