Once Upon a Peace
Yesterday at Curlew Lake State Park, we walked Guthrie along a peaceful dirt trail by the lake. It was a pleasant evening until this squirrel did not take a liking to Guthrie. The squirrel scolded us loudly, keeping an eye on Guthrie the whole time we passed by.
Once Upon a Peace
A soft breeze
whispers through the pines
Gentle waves
sing to the shore
A chickadee
sings as we pass on the path
Our minds
relax in the peace until
A sassy squirrel
scolds the dog’s daring to prance bySheri Edwards
