Nature's Peace

Nature’s Peace

When two worlds meet

in silent reflection

nature paints replicas

above the rippled sand

hiding below the still border

so the mind can find

the way through to peace,

a few moments away

from one’s troubles,

a step forward in

reclaiming one’s soul,

a breath on hold

to release in refreshed grace.

Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area

When camping on a reservoir like Lake Roosevelt, be aware that the lake levels can change by several feet depending on the decisions made at Grand Coulee Dam to release or hold the water for different purposes—-- irrigation, power, or flood control.

When I arrived at the lake, I found this clutter of logs on the lake.
An hour later, after slow fluctuations in water levels, the logs had been beached on the shore, and the lake stood still.

Reflect curiosity and wonder --Go boldly and scatter seeds of kindness...
