Audacious Bandits

Audacious Bandits

They are back.

The little bandits.

And they are mean—

The neighborhood cats

stand by and 

go away—

Watching the critters

scrape and snarl,

stealing their food.

I open the door a crack,

“Shoo. 

Go away.”

They scamper up the 

porch roof post

and have the audacity

to just curl up 

on the roof

to take a nap 

until I 

go away!
