A reflection 

from a watch 

danced 

on the books, 

captured 

the instincts 

of kitty so small 

who stalked 

and crouched 

and leaped 

from the chair 

to capture 

the dance, 

the light 

that disappeared— 

where did it go?

I couldn’t believe the kitty jumped that far and into the bookcase without knocking anything down, and still looking for those darn lights [from digital devices] that had been dancing on the books for her to chase and capture.
