Little Hummingbird

Little Hummingbird

Little hummingbird returns

Tiny nest snuggled

On a thin branch

That dangles softly

In the wind

Little hummingbird watches

Whatever passes by,

Zips away and back

In the weather now so cool:

Waiting for the hatch.

Please we call to nature

To hold back the blazing heat

Until this lovely creatures’ young

Grows strong enough 

To zip away alone.
