Tracks
Tracks
In winter we see
The places we trek
In the tracks in the snow
Of creatures not met:
Dark-eyed junco, raccoon, mule deer,
Cats and dogs and children dear,
All have stepped
This spot, this day
Different times
Different ways
Consider this
As season’s pass
We walk together
Though different paths
Through this life
Our ways do cross
Though we leave
Our unique,
Invisible tracks.
