What Caused That?

One day lily bloomed

With the morning sun; perhaps

a fairy’s doing.

Petals wrinkled, torn,

As if the tiniest of hands

pried each, bit by bit;

Tiny people, whose

impatience creates traces

of tricks in our world; 

We, oblivious,

glance twice to look and exclaim:

“Wonder what caused that?”
