GloPoWriMo 401717 Nocturne Adrift in Chopin

Nocturne
Adrift in Chopin’s Op. 9 No. 2

Before the dark line of twilight
Erases light into dark,
Gaze unto earth's beauty
  Bees flittering
  Birds chattering
  Bugs scattering
  With dark's
    cold
    coming
      on;
Look.
Yellow
Of balsam root
Green
Of Dutch elm
Orange
Of clouds in sunset
Blue
Of flowing river and
Hold.

Hold.

Hold
The breeze
Bathing yellow petals
In the last of sun's warmth as
Bees
Buzz softly on the wind's
Wings
As birds float to tattered
Nests
On wind's strength;
Bugs
Dash beneath the breeze
Hiding beneath pebbles;

               Hold
        light''s
sights
Tight
When
Dark
Winds
howl
On moonless nights.

Hold

And you'll know
All flow onward
Even in dark
              Anticipating
           Dawn
     retracing
    reopening
  its line
 of
light.

  1. Even in dark
    we trace our steps
    in the sand,
    each flower petal
    a potential bloom of
    light, our hope
    shining through the days
    into dark.

  2. Our hope is what keeps us alive and shining to light. Thanks , Kevin, for writing a response for what we can do-- even in dark, trace our steps, keep our path. :)
