Sun On Earth

A sunflower

brightens days

like the sun’s rays,

its petal rays radiating

the energy within–

like us,

it lifts its face

following the warming sun,

pausing in the serenity;

solar rays of earth, of space

their vitality exuding, renewing

the spirits within–

those of us who view them.
